Community Engagement Webinar

CityMatCH invited Liz Baxter, Executive Director of the Oregon Public Health Institute, to present, “From Community Engagement to Policy Change,”. This webinar focused on strategies for engaging non-traditional partners, creating a shared vision and a common agenda to inform policy change, and the role of the community in policy change.

Liz has extensive experience moving initiatives from concept, through design, implementation and operations that have led to the development of principles to guide healthcare reform, including the launch of a grassroots civic engagement organization. The organization centered on healthcare reform where she developed budgets and raised funds to carry out the organization’s activities, engaging upwards of 7,500 people.
